Osie Orlena Morehead

Osie Orlena Morehead, 88, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, May 28, 1997.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Buchanan Street United Methodist 
Church with the Rev. Larry Crumpton officiating. Burial will be in Llano 
Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40.

Mrs. Morehead was born in Norman, Okla., and had been a longtime resident 
of Amarillo. She married Albert Morehead in 1941 at Dalhart. He died in 
1964.

She was a librarian at Northwest Texas Hospital before retiring. She was a 
member of Buchanan Street United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday 
school teacher and a member of the church choir. She also was a member of 
the American Business Women's Association. She was involved with Meals on 
Wheels.

Survivors include a stepson, Leon Morehead of Amarillo; a brother, Russell 
McDaniel of Oklahoma; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
