Cemetery--Norman OK Naifeh, Lillian Jane Homra Lillian Jane Homra Naifeh, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away on November 16, 2004, after a brief illness at the age of 81. Lillian was born on March 27, 1923, to Asbir and Adeeba Homra in Fulton, Kentucky. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma in August of 1944, receiving a B.A. in Social Work. She did graduate work at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and worked for Mullanphy Travelers' Aid as a social worker from 1944 until May of 1947. Lil married her partner for life, Robert N. Naifeh, on June 11, 1947 in Fulton, Kentucky. She moved to Norman and resided there since that time. She served as the Director of The Norman Homemaker Service for 11 years. It was the first home health service of its kind in Norman during the 1970?s and an agency under United Way. Lil was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Norman and has served as an Elder and a Deacon. She was a member of X Libris Book Club, Norman Garden Club, G.C. Chapter of P.E.O., a life member of the O.U. Alumni Association, O.U. Associates, Sorosis Daughters, Associate Member of the Assistance League, O.U. Theater Guild, O.U. Opera Guild, Fred Jones Museum of Art, and the O.U. Museum of Natural History. Lil loved playing bridge, entertaining, and gardening. She was devoted to her family and was a true friend to everyone she met. She will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband Robert N. Naifeh, of the home, one son Robert N. Naifeh Jr. and wife Carol; two daughters Lee Ann Kuhlman and husband Jim, and Susie Meyerson and husband John, all of Edmond; Granddaughter Leslie Kuhlman; Grandsons Jonathan and Jason Kuhlman; Nick, Chuck, and Jake Naifeh, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brother Fred Homra and wife Margaret of Fulton, Kentucky, and her sister Adeline Hamra of Dallas, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Foad Homra, and sisters Frieda Rashid and Victoria Hamra. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or at www.stjude.org. Funeral services will be 2PM Friday at First Presbyterian Church in Norman with Dr. Bob Rice officiating, burial will follow at Norman I.O.O.F. Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday from 8AM to 8PM. Guardian Norman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
