LOCAL AND PERSONAL

The editor and family were summoned to Lexington Saturday of last 
week by the receipt of the sad news of the death of Mrs. L. A. 
(Lucretia) Oziah grandmother of Mrs. Ingle. The deceased lady 
suffered a stroke of paralysis about 6 weeks ago and on the morning 
of the 16th a third stroke came, in a moments notice ending her 
earthly life, peacefully closing up a long career of usefulness and 
devotion to relatives and friends.

Obituary-Near Lexington, OK at the residence of her daughter Mrs. M. 
E. (Mary E.) Dorrance, on the 16th of October 1897 of Paralysis. 
Mrs. Lucretia A Oziah, aged seventy six years.

Lucretia Hallowbaugh was the widow of John R. Powell and James K. 
Oziah. Other children were James C. Powell and Lewis Powell, of 
Ellsworth Co, KS both who predeceased her; Charles Henry Powell of 
Cozad, NE and Minott Weldon Oziah who moved to Bonner's Ferry, ID.
