Services were held Thursday, August 10 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cheyenne Baptist Church, Rev. Milton Gage officiating. Born April 22, 1898 at Moore, Mrs. Rice was married September 29, 1916 to Edward A. Rice at Norman. She came to Roger Mills County from Moore in 1937 and was a long time member of the Baptist church. She was preceded in death by her husband. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Daniel, Oklahoma City, Mrs. Gloria Kovar, Altus, 4 sons Calvin of Altus, Kenneth of Cheyenne, Loyd of Edmond, Richard of Oklahoma City; 3 brothers, Albert Dagish, Frank and Hubert; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Rainbow and Mrs. Edith Lindley; 15 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren. Pallbearers wre Collier Tracy, Glenn Tracy, Albert Maddux, Sr., Ervie Payne, G.B. Payne, Donald Lucas. Commital was in the Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Scroggins and Son.
