Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery with Chaplain Harry Smith officiating. Havenbrook Funeral Home in Norman is handling arrangements. Mr. Reid was born April 8, 1918, in Reids, La., to William Edward and Myrtle Dove Reid. He graduated from high school in Leesville, La., in 1936. He graduated pre-med major in epidemiology from Louisiana State University. He was attending graduate school at the University of Texas when Pearl Harbor was bombed. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1942. He flew C47 Gooneybird transport planes in the European theater. He flew members of the Post-War Economic Planning Committee after World War II to all the capital cities of Europe and north Africa. He was honorably discharged from the Air Force Reserves March 21, 1966, with the rank of captain. He married Felicia Perry May 6, 1948, in San Antonio. He graduated from Texas Chiropractic College in 1949 and received a philosopher of chiropractic degree in 1950. Mr. Reid and his family moved from Louisiana to Norman March 15, 1968. Mr. Reid worked in the computing field at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center for 20 years. Mr. Reid was preceded in death by his parents and brother, W.L. Reid. Mr. Reid is survived by his wife, Felicia of the home; son, W. Perry and wife, Missy, of Edmond; daughters, Judy Reid Toland and husband, Dan, of Sterling, Va., and Licia Reid Iverson and husband, Wayne, of Norman; sister, Cala Sue Bobo and husband, James, of Florence, Ala.; and grandchildren, Coby and Ryan Toland and Kyle, Connor, Sarah and Brett Reid.
