Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Noble Methodist Church with the Revs. Fred Hambrick and James Kim officiating. Burial will be at the Noble IOOF Cemetery. Memorial Chapel Funeral Service in Noble is handling arrangements. ========= Norman Transcript 9 Jul 2003 Sibyl Moreu Stufflebean Sibyl Moreu Stufflebean, 90, died Sunday, July 6. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Noble Methodist Church with the Revs. Fred Hambrick and James Kim officiating. Burial will be at the Noble IOOF Cemetery. Memorial Chapel Funeral Service in Noble is handling arrangements. Mrs. Stufflebean was born April 22, 1913, in Marion County, Ark., to Jim and Alice (Pulliam) Moreu. She moved to Oklahoma with her family as a child. She attended school in Washington, Ladd and Noble. She graduated from Noble High School and played on the girls' basketball team. She married Nolan Stufflebean May 24, 1931, at St. Luke's Methodist Church in Oklahoma City. They lived in Noble. Mr. Stufflebean was the third generation of Stufflebean & Son Grocery in Noble. They operated the store until they retired. Mrs. Stufflebean was a Methodist and was a longtime member of Noble Methodist Church. Mrs. Stufflebean was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Nolan of 57 years; daughter, Norma Lee Tucker; and sister, Donnie Taber. Mrs. Stufflebean is survived by her daughter, Maxine Edwards of Corpus Christi, Texas; son, James and wife, Wanda Stufflebean, of Noble; brother, Lionel Moreu of Norman; grandchildren, Jon Jeter of Corpus Christi, James Moody of Moore, Jana Renfroe of Noble, Jimmy Stufflebean of Noble, Tod Tucker of Tulsa and Tamara Tucker of Corpus Christi; seven great- grandchildren; and many other family members and friends. Bearers will be Jimmy Stufflebean, Tod Tucker, Jon Jeter, Cole Moody and Gary and Danny Renfro.
