Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Hillside Cemetery in Purcell with Mr. Bruce Kessler officiating. Wilson Little Funeral Home in Purcell is handling arrangements. Mrs. Stone was born March 27, 1920, in Poolville, Texas, the second of five children born to John William Newkirk and Alma Era Talley Newkirk. She attended the Steely Country School and married at the age of 14. She and her husband, Claudie A. Stone, lived in the McClain County area most of their lives. She worked at Evans Nursing Home, Broadlawn Manor, Griffin Hall and the Purcell Municipal Hospital. She was a member of the Seventh and Monroe Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Era Newkirk; husband, Claudie Stone; one brother, J.W. Newkirk; and two infant sons. She is survived by one daughter, Sue Boland and her husband, Don, of Moore; two sons, Bill Stone and his wife, Iva, of Purcell and Lloyd A.
