::Friona Cemetery--Friona TX

John Southall

FRIONA - John Southall, 67, of Norman, Okla., died Saturday, Jan. 1, 
2000.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Friona Cemetery with 
Monsignor Blume of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Hereford 
officiating. Arrangements are by Ellis-Blackwell Funeral Homes of 
Friona.

Mr. Southall was born in Friona and was an Army veteran of Vietnam. 
He served in the Army Reserves until 1964. He graduated from the 
University of Texas at El Paso and received his doctorate degree in 
education.

Mr. Southall was active in St. Teresa Catholic Church while living in 
Friona. He lived in Amarillo prior to moving to Norman three years 
ago.

Survivors include three sisters, Christine Braxton of Weatherford, 
Okla., Benthal Hyatt of Roswell, N.M., and Anna Smith of Del City, 
Okla.
