Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bethel Baptist Church of Norman with Rev. Bruce Ingram officiating. Interment will follow at the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Norman. Services are under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman. Dustin was born Dec. 20, 1983, in Norman to Gene Boyd Thomas and Trudy (Thomas) Davison. He graduated early from Norman High School in 2001, and was in the gifted and talented program throughout his school years. Following graduation, he attended the University of Oklahoma before relocating to Kansas City, Mo. He recently returned and was living in Oklahoma City. Dustin was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Norman where he accepted Christ at the age of 7. Growing up, he was active in Little League baseball and was invited to play in the Little League World Series. At age 13 he went on a mission trip to Romania with his grandfather. In high school, he was a member of the chess team, sang in the choir and participated in track as a pole vaulter. He was an avid dirtbike rider, spent many weekends riding motocross with his dad and good friends and had a passion for Mustangs. Dustin is survived by his father, Gene Thomas of Norman; mother, Trudy Thomas Davison of Norman; brother, Trevor Davison of Norman; paternal grandparents Jimmie and Gwen Thomas of Norman; maternal grandparents Wayne and Phyllis Furr of Norman; aunts and uncles, Bill and Bonnie Thomas of Findlay, Ohio; Jay and Cindy Thomas of Oklahoma City; Allan and Carolyn Smith of Japan; Shawn and TaRena Furr and family of Lexington; cousins, Marc and Ashley Thomas of Findlay, Ohio; Andrew and Meagan Smith of Baltimore, Md.; special friends Elena and Kacey White of Norman and many other relatives and friends.
