All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Kenneth VanBuskirk Daily Oklahoman 01/14/2000 Kenneth VanBuskirk joined his loving wife, Florence, and his Heavenly Father Wednesday, January 12, 2000. Kenneth faithfully served his Lord at the Central Church of Christ in Moore, Oklahoma for over fifty years. He is preceded in death by Florence, his faithful and loving wife of 59 years. Kenneth valiantly served his country in World War II in the Pacific Front and drove a jeep for General MacArthur. Survivors are a son, Carl VanBuskirk of Irving, Texas; and 3 daughters, Karen King of Noble, Oklahoma, Debra Gould of McPherson, Kansas; and Diana Griffith of Portland, Oregon. Grandchildren include Mark, David, Michael, and Jonathan VanBuskirk; Terry and Matthew King; Brian and Steven Gould; Sara and Ryan Griffith. Great- grandchildren include Nathan, Jason, Joshua, Jeremy, and Autumn VanBuskirk; and Sydney King. He is also survived by two sisters, Doris Osborn and Margie Moore, and numerous nieces and nephews. Dad will be greatly missed by his loving family and numerous friends, Dad was a kind and gentle man and taught his children to be likewise. He was energetic and full of life. Family suggests any memorials be made to Westview Boys Home in Hollis, Oklahoma. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 15, 2000 at the Central Church of Christ in Moore.
