Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel with the Rev. John Glover, associate pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Mrs. Whatley was born in Moore, Okla. She moved to Pampa in 1914 and graduated from Pampa High School in 1924. From 1923 until 1924, she was a member of the Lady Harvester Basketball team. In Pampa, she was chief operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, a member of First Baptist Church and taught in the primary department for 30 years. She was a homemaker. She married Herman Whatley, coowner and co-founder of CarmichaelWhatley Funeral Directors, in 1929. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Vicki Sanders of Fredericksburg; and a grandchild.
