Whaley MOBEETIE - Doug M. Whaley, 79, died Thursday, Nov. 25, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel with Bill Whaley, minister of Porter Hill Church of Christ and Dean Whaley, minister of Dalhart Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Whaley was born in Montague County and grew up in Stephens County, Okla. In 1984, he retired from the street department for the City of Moore, Okla., and moved to Mobeetie. He was a member of the Miami Church of Christ. He married Doris Henderson in 1952 at Duncan, Okla. He was preceded in death by a son, Rick Whaley, in 1983. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Elaine Dennis of Cashe, Okla., and Evelyn Kincannon of Mobeetie; an adopted son, Dale Whitten of Amarillo; two brothers, Richard Whaley of Walsh, Colo., and Wendell Whaley of Duncan, Okla.; a sister, Ojuania Pollard of Duncan; 11 grandchildren; and three greatgrandchildren. The family suggest memorials be to Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Association, P.O. Box 2234, Pampa, TX 79066.
