Wimmer Rudolph F. Wimmer, 90, of Norman, Oklahoma, died April 8, 2005, in Norman, Oklahoma. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman, Oklahoma. Mr. Wimmer was born August 29, 1914, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to George and Lillian M. (Goeres) Wimmer. He served with U.S. Military from 1934 until he retired from the Navy in 1953. He was veteran of the Pearl Harbor air bombing. Rudolph married Norween Williams Todd on January 1, 1954, in Norman, Oklahoma. After World War II, he also participated with the military in the Berlin air lift. After his retirement from the military, he worked for the Varian government contracting company in Sunnyvale, California, as a machinist, until 1973. Rudolph then cared for his wife, Norween, until her death in 1992. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Mr. Wimmer was preceded in death by his parents, and wife. Survivors include two brothers, Herbert Wimmer, of Upper Gwynedd, PA, and William Wimmer and wife, Esther, of New Jersey; sister, Louise Wimmer, of Upper Dublin, PA; stepson, Steve Owen Todd, of Campbell, CA; three sisters-in-law; two brothers-inlaw; and numerous nieces and nephews.
