She was born on March 10, 1947, in Newfoundland, Canada, to Clifton & Ida Wheeler, who preceded her in death. After many years of traveling as a military wife, Bob & Rita settled in Norman in 1994. She owned and operated The Mercantile Antique Mall in Blanchard & subsequently Noble for several years. She is survived by her husband, Robert Yocom of Norman; two daughters, Sharon & husband, Johnny Jones of Okla. City, Karen & husband, Paul Bush of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Bobby & Taylor; four brothers, Harold, Gerald, & Elias Wheeler of Newfoundland, & Alton Wheeler of Toronto; three sisters, Yvonne Hickey & Edna Osmond of Corner Brook, Newfoundland, & Joan Hoover of Tulsa; mother-in-law, Estelle Yocom of Burke, VA; sister-in-law, Shirley & husband, Richard Lynch of Springfield, VA; and many other relatives and friends. We will always remember her wonderful laugh, warm smile, giving heart, and love of animals. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, at Sunset Memorial Cemetery (2301 B.
