Mr. BROWN died the morning of Sept. 6. Frank CONTELLIE, was hurt at the No. 9 last week by coal falling on him. Mrs. Mary E. LUBBOCK, an aged and long-time resident of San Antoneo, TX, passed away in that city. Robert DARKES, 32, died at Kiowa, I.T. of injuries sustain ten days before while cycling. A son born to Leut. and Mrs. A.P. WATTS of Jolo. Mr. and Mrs. WATTS were reared in Dallas, TX and were married there. Mr. and Mrs. WATTS are the parents of the first American child born south of Manila. Twelve year old son of Joseph BEAUCHAMP, six miles northwest of Corsicana, TX fell from a wagon while trying to get his hat. Gus CROSS, teamster of Plano, fell out of a wagon two miles south of Plano and was ran over and killed. In Van Alstyne an explosion of a can of coal tar burned Roy DOUGLASS and his mother, Mrs. F.M. DOUGLASS was killed from the explosion. Miss Ida ELZEY and Mr. B.C. ALTON were married. Present was Mr. and Mrs. Luther BRUCE.. -------------------------------------------------------------- September 19, 1901 News from Paris, TX, Sept. 14- Lacy JONES, a negro cotton picker from Arkansas was killed by lightning on a farm of Oscar MCBATH near High Wednesday afternoon. E.L. ROGER was shot and killed in Salem community of Hunt Co. TX. Mrs. Myrtle TIMMONS and Jack SANDERS were married in the home of the bride's parents here in Coalgate. The three year old son of A. HURST, north of town, died Monday and was buried Tuesday. Bob ROWE died last Sunday of consumption, burial in Coalgate Cemetery. --------------------------------------------------------- September 26, 1901 At Sthoud, (?Stroud), OK. Charles HENBROW, six years old, fell in a well and was drowned.
