About four years ago while swimming in a creek he made a dive striking his head on a rock which paralyzed his lower limbs, and since that time he had been an invalid. It is supposed that a second stroke came and reached his heart, which soon terminated in his death. He was a young man held in high esteem by all his associates and acquaintences. He was a well informed young man, devoting all of his time to reading. He will ever be remembered for his many virtues.
