Jenkins Obituary J. J. Jenkins was quietly laid to rest in the Wardville cemetery Sunday afternoon, funeral services were conducted by Rev. Taylor, Mr. Jenkins was 75 years old, served four years in the Confederate army and was wounded three times. He was born in the Dominion of Canada, but came to Texas when a young man, moved to the Indian Territory 25 years ago where he has since resided. Mr. Jenkins had been a very strong man until the last years when his health began to fail. He had only been bedfast since the last thirteen weeks. Besides his wife, Minerva E. Davis Jenkins, one daughter Mattie Jenkins Johnson, and four sons Harrison, Jim, Frank & Charlie, mourn his loss. He is buried in Wardville Cemetery, Atoka Co.
