He was born February 20, 1917, in Coalgate, Oklahoma to Jim and Ida Pearl Marcum Jenkins. Willard wed Opal Fern Corter, on June 20, 1938. From this union of 62 years, two sons were born, Jerry Don and Larry Dale. During the depression, he left his parents farm in Coalgate to join the CCC Camps. He proudly served his country during WWII with the Navy, but he was proudest of his years of service in the Oklahoma City Fire Department. Willard was a highly energetic person with a big heart and a passion for doing things for others. He is preceded in death by his brothers Aubrey and Henry Jenkins his sisters Maude and Geneva Jenkins, Viola Roberts his son Jerry Jenkins and his grandson Shon Jenkins. He is survived by his wife, Fern Corder Jenkins, His sisters, Faye Capel of Louisiana and Mabel Cooper of California. Also his son and daughter-in-law Larry Dale & Fran Jenkins; his grandaughters, Patty Ellis, Donna Belless, Misty Jenkins, Kristina Jenkins; grandsons Billy Jenkins, Michael Jenkins, Dakota Jenkins and their spouses. Willard is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Tracy Ellis, Amanda Belless, Britt Jenkins, Serra Jenkins, Jerry don Ellis, James Whisenhunt, Kelly Belless, Jonathan Jenkins, Charles Jenkins, Trevor Jenkins and their spouses. He has three great-great-grandchildren, Hunter Blunt, Alexee Ellis, and Ashton Ellis. "Although it is difficult to say good-bye we take comfort in the belief that we will one day see him again in a glorified body, where their will be no sadness, but happiness in the land where we'll never grow old". Services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at Baggerly-South Funeral Home, 5708 S. Western with Interment in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Oklahoma
