D. R. Lirkendall. She died June 20 in a Dallas nursing home, two days before her 76 birthday. She was born June 22, 1897 in Hope, Ark. Her husband preceded her in death. Survivors include a daughter, Miss Oleta Nixon, Dallas; two sons, Raymond Nixon, Stoutland, Mo., Dean Nixon, Hutchison, Texas; two brothers, Calvin and Roy Thomas, Coalgate, and five grandchildren. Burial was in the McCarty cemetery under the direction of Jim Epperson Funeral Service. Note: Laura's parents are Charles & Betty (Thomas) Thomas both buried in McCarty Cemetery. Her three brothers are all buried in Coalgate Cemetery.
