Jones, in her 83rd year, Saturday at the home of Mrs. W.H. Wheeler. There passed away a mother of Israel, four score and three years of age, A pioneer, who lived until that day when 97 relatives might attend her funeral, A member of the Methodist church since 13 years of age and a devoted Christian during all these years. Mrs. Jones was born in Irving Ill. in the year of 1841, on September 8, 1859 was united in marriage to John F. Jones, to this union there were born five sons and six daughters, those left to mourn her loss, Mrs. W.H. Wheeler, Coalgate, Mrs. Joe Carthcart, Coalgate, Mrs. Ida Fite, Strafford, Mrs. Bell Johnson, Ft. Cobb, and Mr. H. S. Jones route 2, Coalgate and a host of other relatives and friends who attended the funeral. Mrs. Jones was stricken with paralysis and died Saturday at 7:15 o'clock, funeral services were conducted at the home of W.H. Wheeler Sunday by Rev. F.S. Ross. pastor of the First Baptist church in Coalgate, C.T. Towery leading the song service. Slater funeral home was in charge of arrangements. Burial was at Lehigh cemetery beside her husband John F.
