Larry Stephenson conducting. Thomas died in Coalgate Tuesday at the age of 76. He was born in Logan County, Arkansas on August 12, 1900, a son of Charles and Betty Thomas. He was a retired rancher and farmer and was married to Ena Taylor in Coalgate on August 26, 1926. Survivors include his wife, Ena, of the home; two daughters, Betty Thomas Levingston, of Wasco, Calif., and Teresa Thomas Staggs, Mesquite, Texas; a son, Pat Thomas, Coalgate; a brother Roy Thomas, of Coalgate, and two sisters-in-law, Vivian Taylor Recagno, Willits, Calif., and Ella Taylor Thomas, Oklahoma City. Burial will be in Coalgate cemetery with Jim Epperson Funeral Service in charge. Note: Calvin's brothers Ralph and Roy Thomas also buried in Coalgate Cemetery. His parents, Charles and Betty (Thomas) Thomas and sister Laura Thomas Nixon are buried in McCarty Cemetery.
