 Mary Elizabeth "Bette" (Caldwell) Townsend
 03 Dec 1878, TX - 06 Feb 1939 Lehigh, Coal Co., OK. 
        
 The many friends of Mrs. Betty Townsend were shocked to hear of her 
 death, which occured at her home at 4 a.m. Monday from double pneumonia. 
         
 She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. George Reed of Lehigh Mrs. Clyde 
 Guest of Roundhill and four sons, Mr. Roy Townsend of Schulter, Okla., 
 Mr. Palmer, Truman and Archie Townsend of Lehigh and several grandchildren 
 who have the sympathy of the community in their great loss.

 Husband, Henry Britton "Brit" Townsend
 12 Jan 1875, Hopkins Co., TX - 19 Feb 1922, McAlester, Pittsburg Co., OK.
 Both are buried in Lehigh Cemetery, Lehigh, Coal Co., OK. 
 Interment will be in Lehigh cemetery Tuesday afternoon.
