Mike Teel, associate pastor of Cameron Baptist Church, officiating. Mrs. Adamek died Friday, Sept. 2, 2005, at a local hospital. She was born Jan. 10, 1950, in Lawton to Earl Wayne and Charlotte Butler Tubbs. She grew up in Lawton and was a 1968 graduate of Eisenhower High School. She was a participant in the Miss Lawton Pageant. She worked as a beautician for several years and then as a secretary for civil service. Survivors include her mother, Charlotte Tubbs; a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Windy Sterkel, Lawton; two daughters: Melissa Roselle, Lawton; and Heather Sterkel, Oklahoma City; a sister, Linda Keaveney, Arlington, Texas; and six grandchildren: Cody and Mason Sterkel, Destiny and Caitlin Sterkel, Tanner Roselle, Ashlee Timmons, and Seth Torres.
