Leonard Reimer, Pastor, officiating. Mrs. Adams died Monday in Lawton. Burial will be in the Post Cemetery, Fort Sill, under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home. She was born September 28, 1913 in Junction City, Kentucky, to Jessie L. and Linnie Owens McDonald. She attended high school and Centre College in Danville, Kentucky. On March 16, 1932 she married Marcus Webb Adams, Sr. in Bloomington, Indiana. They shared over 58 years together and she followed him wherever his U.S. Army career took him until his retirement as Colonel. He preceded her in death on September 22, 1990. Prior to 1978, when they moved to Lawton, they lived in Oklahoma City. In both cities she was active in the First Presbyterian Church, the Rachel Circle in Lawton, the Retired Officers Wives Clubs, Garden Clubs (Eloise Tyree Chapter in Lawton), and PEO (Chapter BY, Lawton). She was a children's Sunday school teacher and held many offices in her various organizations. Survivors include three sons, Dr. Marcus Webb Adams, Jr. and wife Pat, Norman, Edward E. Adams, Sr., Lawton, and Terry M. Adams and wife Stephanie, Lawton; six grandchildren, Anneliese Canterbury and husband Michael, Flower Mound, Texas, Lorilyn Bradford and husband Keith, Bedford, Texas, Angie Thomas and husband James, Grand Prairie, Texas, Andy Adams, Norman, Oklahoma, and Blakely and Eddie Adams, Jr., both of Lawton; seven great grandchildren, Jordan and Kyle Bradford, Bedford, Texas, Connor and Cayla Canterbury, Flower Mound, Texas, and Abigail, Zachary and Ethan Thomas, Grand Prairie, Texas; a brother in law, Rev. Ted Jaeger, Danville, Kentucky; numerous nieces and nephews.
