All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Lawton Constitution 21 Jul 2002 Alene Alexander MARLOW — Funeral for Alene Alexander, 77, Marlow, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, Marlow, with the Rev. Charles Reiser and Dr. Gene Nease officiating. Mrs. Alexander died Saturday, July 20, 2002, at an area hospital. Burial will be at Letitia Cemetery under direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home. She was born Nov. 4, 1924, in Comanche County to James B. and Noma Shipman Nease. She graduated from Central High School and was a travel agent. She was the first director for the Marlow Senior Citizens Center. She was named Outstanding Citizen of Marlow in 1977. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Marlow. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, John and Debbie Smith, Marlow; three daughters: Janice Stone and her husband, Russell; Janet Overton, Dallas; and Sharon Zazzaro, Marlow; two brothers and sisters-in- law: George and Wanda Nease, Marlow; and Dr. Gene and Charlotte Nease, Oklahoma City; three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Mozell Norton, Lawton; Jeanell and J.W. Bradley; and Jimmie Lou and James Gunkel, all of Duncan; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
