All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Lawton Constitution 17 Mar 2003 Betty Jean Allison Funeral for 72, Lawton, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Eighth and Lee Church of Christ with David Dugan, minister, officiating. Mrs. Allison died Sunday, March 16, 2003, at her home. Burial will be at Flower Mound Cemetery under direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home. She was born on June 3, 1930, in Lawton to Oscar and Nora Franklin Goodin. She moved to Faxon in 1931, to Pryor in 1939 and back to Lawton in 1946. She graduated from Lawton High School in 1950. She and her brother John were co- owners of Goodin Dairy Farm south of Lawton. She married Bennie Allison on March 30, 1959, in Wichita Falls, Texas. She worked as a professional cook at Hillside Elementary School in the Lawton Public School System and later at Flower Mound School. She also worked as a food demonstrator for local businesses. She was also involved in several committees within the Flower Mound community. She was a member of Eighth and Lee Church of Christ. She taught Bible class there and at Sullivan Village Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, of the home; a son, Greg Allison, Lawton; a daughter, Cindy Meek and her husband Bruce, Owasso; three brothers: Gene Goodin and his wife, Francis, south of Lawton; John Goodin, Eufaula; and Virgil Goodin, east of Lawton; a sister, Lavenia Little, Lawton; and two grandchildren: Justin Meek, Tulsa; and Brandon Meek, Owasso.
