Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. L.C. Camp officiating. Burial will be in Mission Garden of Memories by SteedTodd Funeral Home. Mr. Anson was born in Broadview and was a lifelong resident of the Clovis area. He was an Air Force veteran. He was a Baptist minister, a carpet layer and a route salesman in the Clovis/Portales areas. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He married Margaret Maxey in 1956 at Lawton, Okla. Survivors include four sons, William G. Anson of Portales, Jerry Lee Anson and Timothy Anson, both of Clovis, and Dwayne Anson of Blackwell, Okla.; two daughters, Judy Holland and Tammy Hillis, both of Clovis; a brother, Harry Anson of Clovis; six sisters, Margie Stringer of Farwell, Texas, Betty Slezman of Waco, Texas, Althea Mann of White Swan, Wash., Cleta Nutt and Jean Workheiser, both of Clovis, and Dorothy Smith of Phoenix, Ariz.; and 20 grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to the American Heart Association.
