All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Sunset Memorial Gardens--Lawton OK Lawton Constitution 12 May 2002 Olga Anderson Funeral for Olga Anderson, 89, Lawton, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. John Lutheran Church with the Rev. Richard Mayer, pastor, officiating. Mrs. Anderson died Thursday, May 9, 2002, at a local nursing home. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens under direction of Becker Funeral Home. She was born July 31, 1912, in Geneseo, N.D., to Berdines and Julia Solsrud Odland. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, a member of the church women’s LWML guild and served as president and altar guild chairman. She married Ray Anderson on March 13, 1931, in Forman, N.D. He died April 18, 1971. She helped her husband in his tile contracting business. She also worked as a cook for Lawton Public Schools, from which she retired in 1980. Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law: Wanda Varline and Ruby and Davy Kirkes, all of Lawton; and Ardella and Warren Schmidt, Batesville, Ark.; a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Barbara Anderson, Houston, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great- great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons: Vernon and Doyle Anderson; a great- grandchild, Scott Bufkin; and a son-in-law, Frank Varline.
