Lawton Constitution 05 Jun 2003 Phillip D. Biby Funeral for Phillip D. Biby, 75, Lawton, will be at 1 p.m. today at First Baptist Church East with the Rev. Doug Passmore, pastor, officiating. Mr. Biby died Monday, June 2, 2003, at a local hospital. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Hawley Cemetery under direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home. He was born Nov. 24, 1927, in Anthony, Kan., to Ira and Elsie Biby. He attended Gore School for 12 years, and graduated in 1945. He married Mary Coulter on Dec. 1, 1947, in Wakita. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1945 to 1951. He was the manager of Comanche County Farm Bureau for 18 years, and retired in 1992. He was a member of First Baptist Church East. Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law: Steve and Helen Biby, Stillwater; and Jim and Kaye Biby, Jacksonville, Fla.; two daughters and sons-in-law: Rhonda and Morris Dudgeon, Stillwater; and Jan and Bruce Mayes, Lawton; eight grandchildren: Erin Trotter and Brian Dudgeon, both of Stillwater; Clint Higganbotham, Longmont, Colo.; Tara Mayes, St. Francisville, La.; Melissa Clendenon and Michele Biby, both of Altus; Tate Mayes, Lawton; and Jared Biby, Jacksonville; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
