Janie L. Buchanan Funeral for Janie L. Buchanan, 95, Lawton, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Bethel Church of God in Christ with Elder Hubert Edison, pastor, officiating. Mrs. Buchanan died Monday in a Dallas hospital following a short illness. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Post Cemetery, Fort Sill, under direction of Jefferson Funeral Home. She was born January 18, 1904, in Lodi, Texas. She later moved to Des Moines, Iowa. She moved to Lawton in 1932. She married Edward Buchanan. He died in 1973. She was employed by Dr. Fred Fox Sr. and worked as a caterer at Fort Sill. She was a member of Bethel Church of God in Christ, where she served in the mission, was secretary of Women's Adult Sunday School, a member of choir and mother's board. Survivors include a sister, Willie B.
