Age 85 of Lawton, OK, Graveside services will be at Magnolia Cemetery, Onalaska, TX, Tuesday February 1st at 10:00am with Rev. Fred Alford, Blanchard Baptist Church, Livingston, TX, officiating. Burial will be under the direction of the Cochran Funeral Home, Livingston, TX, Local arrangements are under the Becker Funeral Home, Lawton, OK. Mr. Bozarth died Thursday, January 27, 2005 at a local hospital. He was born on January 25, 1920 in Bluff Springs, TX. He married Dorris G. Baker on December 31, 1940 in Lockhart, TX. He entered the army at Fort Sam Houston, TX on January 28, 1941. He was a veteran of WWII, the Korean War and served during the Vietnam War. His commendations include: Silver Star for gallantry in action, Bronze Star with V for valor, Army Commendation Medal, Purple Heart with two clusters, Good Conduct Medal with two loops, American Defense Service Medal, American Campaign Medal, European Theater of Operation with four clusters, Victory Medal WWII, Army of Occupation Medal - Japan, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, and Infantry Badge with two stars. He retired from the Army at Fort Sill, OK in 1965. He and his wife, Dorris, served four years with the Southern Baptist Home Mission Board in Arizona and Utah, where they established a church at Tory, UT. He was a Deacon, Lay Minister, and Charter Member of Westwood Baptist Church in Lawton, OK and Blanchard Baptist Church in Livingston, TX. At the time of his death he was a member of First Baptist Church, Lawton. Survivors include his son Jack and daughter-in-law, Donna, of Lawton; daughter Bonnie Kauffman and son-in-law, Bob, of Westminster, MD; grandson, Bobby Allen and wife Yvette; grandson, Tommy Allen and wife Renee'; great grandson, Aaron Galaz; sister, Mary Allen; brother, Robert Bozarth; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 62 years, and three brothers, Edward, Jesse, and Howard.
