Age 89, Lawton, Services will be at 10:00 am Saturday in the Lawton Heights United Methodist Church with Rev. Woody McClendon and Rev. Charles King, Pastor of Lawton Heights United Methodist Church, officiating. Mrs. Bailey died Thursday in a Lawton hospital. Burial will be at 1:30 pm in the Blair Cemetery, Blair, Oklahoma under the direction of Becker Funeral Home. She was born July 28, 1915 at her home West of Blair, to Frank and Sarah Castles. She graduated from Martha High School and received her Bachelors Degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford. She married James C. Bailey on March 25, 1939 in El Reno, Oklahoma. He died October 9, 1995. They taught 3 years at Prairie Dale School and later moved back to the Castle's Farm. She taught at Blair Schools for 10 years and then for Lawton Public Schools until her retirement. She was a member of the Lawton Heights United Methodist Church. Survivors include: 2 Daughters and Sons-In-Law: Joan & William Q. (Bill) Brown of Lawton, OK and Gayle and Dan Konkol of Germantown, TN. 3 Grandchildren: Tina Brown of Oklahoma City, OK, Paula and husband Greg Bachman of Chicago, IL, and Bryan Rice of Altus, OK. One Great Grandchild: Kayla Coffey of Okarche, OK and Many Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by: Her parents, 4 sisters, 2 brothers, and 5 siblings that died as infants.
