Biles ELGIN - Funeral for Leonard R. Biles, 88, Elgin, will be at 2 p.m. today at Locust Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Biles died Sunday, Jan. 12, 2003, in Hot Springs, Ark. Burial will be at Sterling City Cemetery under direction of Becker Funeral Home. He was born Nov. 11, 1914, in Elgin to Thomas B. and Sarah Russell Biles. He was a member of Lawton Heights United Methodist Church. He married Gauda Lee Bentley on June 17, 1938, in Lawton. She died July 27, 2000. He attended Cameron High School and Cameron Junior College. He was an electrician, mechanic, welder, machinist and TV repairman. He owned and operated Biles Repair Shop for 65 years. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: Russell and Sarah Biles, Highlands Ranch, Colo.; and Tom and Anne Biles, Elgin; a daughter and son- in-law, Kimberly and Dennis Roper, Altus; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great- grandchildren. He was also survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Ralph W. and Sandy Biles, who have since died. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson.
