Kelly Russell officiating. Mr. Blythe died Saturday, Sept. 3, 2005, in Lawton. He was born Dec. 20, 1963, in Chester, Pa., to Thomas Dale and Margaret Arlene Tittle Blythe. He served in the U.S. Army for 12 years and was honorably discharged with the rank of sergeant. During his service, he received many awards and commendations including the Army Commendation Medal (second award), Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal (4th Award), National Defense Service Medal, Non-commissioned Officer's Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon and Overseas Service Ribbon (second award). He was later employed as a police officer for the city of Geronimo. Survivors include many family members and friends. Memorial contributions may be made to Thomas Blythe Memorial Fund, 100 W. Kelly Russell officiating. Mr. Blythe died Saturday, Sept. 3, 2005, in Lawton. Burial will military honors will be at Lawncroft Cemetery, Trainer, Pa. He was born Dec. 20, 1963, in Chester, Pa., to Thomas Dale and Margaret Arlene Tittle Blythe. He enlisted in the U.S. Army at the age of 20. He served in the Gulf War and several tours in Germany. His stateside assignments included Fort Jackson, S.C., Fort Campbell, Ky.; and Fort Sill. He received many awards and medals, including the Army Accommodation Medal; Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal (fourth award ; National Defense Service Medal; Non-commissioned Officer's Professional Development Ribbon; Army Service Ribbon; and Overseas Service Ribbon (second award). He served in the Army for 12 years and was honorably discharged with the rank of sergeant. He began serving the Geronimo Police Department in September 1997. In April 1999 he was certified by CLEET as a reserve police officer. In April 2003, he was certified CLEET full-time officer. In May 2005, he was promoted to lieutenant and served as the Geronimo Police Department K-9 handler. He was also a member of the Geronimo Volunteer Fire Department. Survivors include Allen Copeland, Lawton; Tshay Blythe, Clarksville, Tenn; his father and his wife, Thomas D. and Anne Blythe, Chester Heights, Pa.; his mother and her husband, Margaret Blythe-Clark and James Clark, Chester, Pa.; his grandmother, Doris Blythe, Aston, Pa.; four brothers: Robert Blythe and his wife, Joann, Woolrich, N.J.; John Blythe, Linwood, Pa., William Blythe and Davie Blythe, Chester Heights, Pa.; two sisters: Laura Rosebrook and her husband, Clay, Dover, Del.; and Beth Blythe, Chester Heights, Pa.; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
