C. Bone Funeral for D.C. Bone Jr., 79, Lawton, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First Assembly of God with the Rev. Don Barnes, pastor, officiating. Mr. Bone died Tuesday, July 1, 2003, at a Lawton hospital. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens under direction of Becker Funeral Home. He was born May 7, 1924, in Konawa, to Dewey C. Bones Sr. and Nancy Ann Bone. He married Marjorie Scott on July 12, 1958, in Lawton. He was a member of First Assembly of God where he served as a deacon and Sunday school superintendent for many years. He was a veteran of World War II, and a painting contractor for about 50 years. Survivors include his wife, of the home; two daughters and sons-in- law: Tammy and Dennis Richard, and Nancy and Russell Baucom, all of Lawton; a son and fiancé, Tim Bone and Jessica Sorrell, both of Lawton; two sisters: Helen Bates, Colorado Springs, Colo.; and Wanda Mahaffey, Salt Lake City, Utah; five brothers: Kenneth Bone, Colorado Springs, Colo.; and Melvin Bone, Floyd Bone, Bill Bone and Jerry Bone, all of Lawton; and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Cleo Lawyer; and a brother, Harold Bone. Memorial contributions may be made to First Assembly Building Fund, U.S. 62 and 82nd Street, Lawton 73506.
