Banks SEATTLE - Memorial service for former Lawton resident Raymond C. Banks, 46, Seattle, will be at 4 p.m. June 17 at Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Baptist Church, Seattle, with the Rev. Herbert J. Carey, pastor, officiating. A wake service will be from 2-8 p.m. Monday at Southwest Mortuary Inc., 9021 Rainier Ave. South, Seattle 98118. Mr. Banks died Thursday, June 5, 2003. He was born July 11, 1956, in Lawton, and graduated from Lawton High School in 1974. He attended Highline Community College, and worked as a patient registration representative at Harborview Medical Center. He married Monica Wright on Sept. 17, 1988, in Detroit. He received various trophies and medals for playing football, running track and other sports. Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, Raymond C. Banks Jr.; his mother, Ella V. Banks, Lawton; a sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Victor Curse, Lawton; two brothers and a sister-in-law: James and Alisa Christophe Banks, Dallas; and Richard Banks, Duncan; three nieces: Janetta and Jessie Bartee and Andrea' Christophe Banks, all of Dallas; four aunts: Mable Baker, Lawton; Josephine Bailey, Tacoma, Wash.; Elizabeth Mann and Ollie Jean Banks, both of Syracuse, N.Y.; three uncles: Wayne Banks and Bennie Banks, both of Lawton; and William Banks, San Diego, Calif.; and many cousins, other relatives and friends. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Comanche County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/comanche/comanche.html
