Kris Mullis, officiating.Mrs. Binkley died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2003, at her residence.Burial will be at Fort Sill Post Cemetery under direction of Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service.She was born Sept. 5, 1928, in Hobart to Opal Taylor and James F. Nicholson. She grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated from Central High School in 1946. In 1950 she earned a bachelor of science in business administration at Oklahoma City University, where she was a member of Phi Delta/Alpha Chi Omega sorority. She was employed by the Oklahoma City Junior Chamber of Commerce as an executive secretary. She married 1st Lt. James Binkley on Dec. 21, 1956, in Lawton. They were stationed in West Germany for 3 \'aa years. While in Germany she was a teacher and supervisor of the Hanau nursery school. Upon their return, they lived in Lawton in the summer of 1960. She and her husband served as co-presidents of Hoover Elementary's PTA during the 1978-79 school year. They also served as co-presidents of the Sill-O-Ette Squares square dance club in 1990. Survivors include her husband, of the home; a son, James N. Binkley, of the home; two aunts: Ruth and Lillian Taylor, both of Oklahoma City; several cousins; and numerous friends. Mrs. Binkley was preceded in death by her parents.
