Berg Jan. 20, 1923 -- Dec. 14, 1999 Lorene C. Berg, 76, of Ripon died Tuesday at her home. Mrs. Berg was a native of Cache, Okla. She lived in the Manteca and Ripon areas 27 years. She was a former director of nurses at CareWest Convalescent Hospital, Manteca. She had been a second lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corps, serving from 1944 to 1946, during World War II. She belonged to Spring Creek Golf and Country Club. She was a member of Trinity United Presbyterian Church, Modesto. She is survived by her husband, Donald F. Berg of Ripon; children, Laurie Berg of Stockton and Gary Berg of San Jose; brother, Robert Richardson of Oklahoma; sister, Edith Hughes of Oklahoma; and two grandchildren. Private services to be conducted. Interment at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, Santa Nella. Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel in charge of arrangements.
