All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== :: Brazet, Donna Rose Donna Rose Brazet Former resident of Livermore Donna Rose Brazet passed away peacefully at McKay Dee Hospital on December 10, 2006 of causes related to her age. She was born November 13, 1917 at Fort Sill, Oklahoma to John Cook and Rose Hazen Hoehle. Raised in Wichita, Kansas, Donna transplanted herself to California in 1957 but remained a Kansan for life. While working at the Lawrence Radiation Laboratory in Livermore, California she met and married Frank Brazet in May, 1958. For the 25 years they were married until Frank's death on December 11th, 1983, she was a devoted and adored wife. At an age when many are emptying the nest, she became mother to Frank's three teenage daughters. She was a gracious mentor, friend and mother. Donna had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and fostered that passion in others. She was a collector of books and encouraged a love of reading in her children. She was a peacemaker at all times, always open to both sides of an argument. Energetic, after "retiring," she continued to work part time and to volunteer at the local library, art festivals and wine tastings until her move to Ogden, Utah in 2001. She was a cherished grandmother and a voice of reason to the mothers raising her grandchildren. She was an intensely fair-minded person. Preceded in death by her parents, sister, brother and husband, she is survived by daughters, Elizabeth (Lloyd) Merino, Adele (Lewis) Greenman & Virginia (Richard) Fox; 5 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. In accordance with her wishes, we celebrate her life but do not memorialize her passing. The family is grateful for the compassionate care she received at McKay Dee Hospital, the support and assistance provided by Cindy Allen and her staff at Specialty Nursing and the friendship and affection she enjoyed as a resident of the Harrison Regent.
