Brown Funeral for Zona L. Brown, 89, Lawton, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Sunset Memorial Gardens Chapel of Peace Mausoleum with Jim Antwine officiating. Mrs. Brown died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003 at a local hospital. Arrangements are by Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home. She was born Jan. 13, 1914, in McMinnville, Tenn., to Bob and Lilly Jones Bilbrey. She moved to Duke as a small child where she attended school and Duke Baptist Church. She moved to Hollis in 1934 and to Lawton in 1939. She married Homer Clarence Brown on Dec. 24, 1934, in Olustee. He died Sept. 12, 1978. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Joe Edwards, Lawton; four grandchildren: John King and his wife, Becky; Jim King; Jerry King and his wife, Angela; Jo Lynn Nix and her husband, Boomer; six great- grandchildren: Amanda King, Courtney King, Sharon King, Paul King, Rylee Jo Nix and Alyssa Nix; and several nieces and nephews, including Troy Warren, Flora Mae James and Bernetta Beydler, all of Lawton.
