Discomfored and sometimes painful that she couldn't make a move, she would whisper, "Lord Have Mercy" until her pain began to soothe. Rose never complained about her commitments nor the failing of her health, when asked how are you feeling today, she'd say, "Just fine, yourself?" It takes a strong individual to cope with so much disability and never make a fuss, but if we've been born again and washed in the blood of Jesus, these same words can stand tru for us. She was truly, truly and Abyssinia Missionary Baptist Church Soldier, in the Army of the Lord, she just waited and patiently wather for her dear sweet Savior to call her home. Well, I know that she is contented now, for the battle she has won, as Pater Diamond and Minister Blak prayed and pastor commenced to sing to her, I could clearly heary my Saviour say, "ROSE MARIE BARRIENTEZ, SERVANT OF GOD, WELL DONE, COME ON HOME." I'll Always Love you, Your Mother Ruby R Rouse ========= Final Thoughts I have finished now with this house of clay Please kindly and carefully lay it away And let me rest from this life of pain. Toiling in sunshine, storm and rain, Trying to help the sick and poor And turning no needy from my door I strove to do my Master's work Never a duty did I shirk Many times I was misunderstood When I had done the best I could I am tired now, so let me rest, Don't cry, Don't you know, Where only God's redeemed can go, I do not need this house of clay So, tenderly, carefully, lay it away -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Comanche County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/comanche/comanche.html
