Cable, Ruth Vera (Flynn)

Age 93, Oklahoma City, Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Tuesday, March
1, 2005 in the Becker Funeral Home of Fletcher Chapel, Fletcher, Oklahoma
with Rev. Becky Baxter-Crowell, pastor, First United Methodist Church,
Sterling, Oklahoma, officiating.

Mrs. Cable died Friday at her residence in Oklahoma City.

Burial will be in the Fletcher Cemetery under the direction of the Becker
Funeral Home of Fletcher (Formerly Robbins Funeral Home).

She was born January 20, 1912 in Waxahachie, Texas to Myrt and Ina
(Stewart) Flynn.  She came to Oklahoma from Texas in 1915 and had lived in
Oklahoma City since 1996.  She married Walter Haskell (John) Cable on
August 6, 1932 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.  He died January 10, 1974.  She was
a homemaker and a Methodist.

Survivors include a daughter: Joyce Peddy Gaines; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma;
a sister: Lucille Thompson; Corpus Christi, Texas; a brother: Waldo Flynn;
Branch, Arkansas; 9 grandchildren: Brian Keith, Jon Marvin, Jera Dawn,
Amanda, Denise, D.R., Dana, Karen and Charles; 19 great grandchildren:
Chelsea, Ashley, Kenny, Dustin, Ashley, Brooke, Katelyn, Staci, Greg,
Lauren Elizabeth, Paige, Trent, Zachary, Jaryd, Blake, Justin, Joe,
Greyson and Michael; 4 great great grandchildren: Mackenzie, Kyle, Chayton

and Gracie.

She was preceded in death by a son: Marvin Clyde Cable; 4 sisters: Lorene
Casey, Bertha Lee Pirtle, Iola Clonce and Irene Phillips and a brother:
Carl Flynn.
