Mr. Cox died Tuesday, May 20, 2003, in Lawton. Arrangements are by Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home, Walters. He was born Aug. 6, 1945, in Lawton, and grew up here. He joined the National Guard and then served in the Navy. He was a Vietnam War veteran, and served for 15 years. He married Jenniele Marsh on March 9, 1967, in Alameda, Calif. After his military career, he worked for the City of Lawton and then the Comanche County Sheriff's Office. He began working at Goodyear in 1979. Survivors include his mother, Mae Cox, Geronimo; his wife, of the home; two sons: Robert L. Cox, Cache; and Michael A. Cox, Benicia, Calif.; three daughters: April Michelle Abbe, Geronimo; Cicilia L. Cox, Walters; and Bobbie Dale Riddles, Rush Springs; three brothers: Aaron Gene Cox and Bert Olen Cox Jr., both of Geronimo; and Olin Dean Cox, Rush Springs; three sisters: Berdie Evelyn Sayre, Geronimo; Carolyn Sue Elliott, Walters; and Helen Mae Hastings, Lawton; and 13 grandchildren.
