Chambers Funeral for Martha E. Chambers, 78, Lawton, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Lawton Heights United Methodist Church with the Rev. Montie Jones, pastor, officiating. Mrs. Chambers died Monday, April 14, 2003, at a Lawton hospital. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens under direction of Becker Funeral Home. She was born Jan. 26, 1925, in Watonga, to Walt and Dixie Grauer. She moved to Half Circle I Ranch, now known as Kimble Ranch, north of Lawton, as a child. She graduated from Elgin High School. She worked for PSO for 30 years and retired in 1971. She married Dennis H. "Tom" Chambers on June 6, 1942, in Lawton. She was a member of Lawton Heights United Methodist Church, the Credit Women's Club and the Lawton Saddle Club. Survivors include her husband, of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert H. and Paula Chambers, Lawton; two grandchildren and their spouses: Kevin H. and Shannon Chambers, and Christi Chambers and Andrew Kinslow, all of Lawton; three great-grandchildren: Isaiah Chambers, Hope Chambers and Ethan Kinslow; and cousins: R.G. and Phyllis Rycroft, Watonga; Harold and Sara Rycroft, Comanche, Iowa; and Glenn and Erma Robinson, Bells, Texas.
