All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Sunset Memorial Gardens--Lawton OK Lawton Consitituion 29 May 2003 Nettie Lou Carr Funeral for Nettie Lou Carr, 92, Lawton, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles W. Whitlow officiating. Mrs. Carr died Friday, May 23, 2003, at a Lawton hospital. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens under direction of Jefferson Funeral Home. She was born Jan. 1, 1911, in Itasco, Texas, to Joseph and Mollie Jennings. She came to Lawton from Chickasha in 1931, and graduated from Douglas High School in 1934. She married Daniel Carr on Dec. 1, 1943, and was employed by Marie Detty Care Center until her health failed. She was a member of Union Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law: Daniel IV and Ann Carr, Lawton; and Jessie Lee Butler, Baton Rouge, La.; seven grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; four great-nieces; three great-great-nieces; three great-great-nephews; a great-great-great-niece, Paris Elizabeth Marks; a sister, Ella Mae Marks, Lawton; and many other relatives and friends.
