All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Sunset Memorial Gardens--Lawton OK Becker Funeral Home Obit 29 Sep 2005 George Ellis Crow Age 52, Lawton - Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday in the First Baptist Church with Everett Cox and Billy Fred Crow, officiating. Mr. Crow died Thursday at his residence. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home. He was born July 23, 1953 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Ellis and Georgia Crow. He grew up in Las Vegas and moved to Geronimo, Oklahoma, at the age of 15. He was a 1971 graduate of Geronimo High School and received his Bachelors degree in sociology from Cameron University in 1975. He married Pamela Kay Malone on June 9, 1975 in Lawton. He had worked as an assistant student counselor at Eisenhower Junior High School for several years before going to work for the Comanche County Juvenile Bureau. At the time of his death he was an intake and probation supervisor. He and his wife had been partial owners of Regal Oil Company from 1980 until 1991. He was a member of First Baptist West and the Oklahoma Gang Investigator Association and had been vice president for the state of Oklahoma. He served on the Board for Lawton Youth Baseball and had coached American Legion Baseball for over 20 years. Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son and daughter in law, Justin and Monica Crow, Lawton; a daughter, Nikki Crow, Norman; three grandchildren, Tyler, Jazmyn and Braedon Crow, all of Lawton; a brother and sister in law, John and Joy Crow, Flagstaff, Arizona; two sisters, Twyla Towns and husband Roy, Las Vegas, Nevada, and Debbie Porter, Lawton; brothers and sisters in law, Charles Chronister, Las Vegas, Nevada, Michael Malone, Lawton, Randy and Suzanne Malone, Oklahoma City, and Karen and Mike Battles, Tyler, Texas; 21 nieces and nephews, Aaron, Jeremy, Chris, Ben and Colton Malone, Josh and Kyle Battles, Todd, Troy and Mark Towns, Clayton Crow, Ron Chronister, Michael Porter, Glenda Terry, Linda Brown, Luanna Larson, Lori Seright, Rhonda Cain, Jaymie Soares, Jacqueline Crow and Madison Malone. His parents, a sister, Evelyn Chronister, and two children, Chad Ellis Crow and George Ellis Crow, Jr., preceded him in death. Memorial contributions may be made to the George Crow Scholarship Fund at the Comanche County Federal Credit Union, 916 W.
