Mr. Campos died Monday, June 16, 2003, at his home. ========= Lawton Constitution 18 Jun 2003 John Campos Funeral Mass for John Campos, 72, Lawton, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with the Rev. James D. M. Stafford, pastor, officiating. A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Campos died Monday, June 16, 2003, at his home. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. He was born Nov.24, 1930, in Waco, Texas, to Jose and Germana Arriaga Campos. He graduated from St. Mary's Catholic High School in 1951. He went into the U.S. Army, and served in the Korean Conflict. He married Margaret Cook on July 2, 1952, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Lawton. In 1958, he and his wife opened Morgan Cleaners in Lawton, and operated the business 41 years. He retired in 1999. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council and the VFW Post No. 5263. Survivors include his wife of the home; his mother-in-law, Pauline McHenry, of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Colleen Campos, Lawton; three daughters and two sons-in-law: Carol and Gary Jackson, and Nancy McLane and her friend, Bob Horn, all of Lawton; and Mary Helen and Steve Smith, Cyril; two brothers and sisters-in- law: Manuel and Margaret Campos, San Antonio; and Marcos and Florence Campos, Lawton; two sisters: Faye Salas, and Mary Kirk, both of Lawton; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, John Darryl Campos.
