All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Lawton Constitution 3 Apr 2003 Glenn Wilford Crabtree NORMAN — Funeral for former Medicine Park resident, Glenn Wilford Crabtree, 70, Norman, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel, Norman, with the Rev. Dianne Peters officiating. Mr. Crabtree died Monday, March 31, 2003 in Norman. Burial will be at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Norman. He was born Dec. 24, 1932, in Anadarko, to John William and Della Mae Berndsen Crabtree. He grew up in Medicine Park and graduated from Elgin High School in 1952. He was drafted into the Army in 1953, and served two years in England during the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged in 1955, and joined the Oklahoma Army National Guard. He began working full-time with the National Guard in 1958, and retired with the rank of chief warrant officer after serving more than 30 years. He married Barbara H. Thomas on Dec. 28, 1957, in Lawton. He moved to Norman in May 1963, and after his retirement, he worked for the Cleveland County YMCA. Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son and daughter-in-law: Russell Glenn and Angie Crabtree, Norman; a daughter Kristy Lynn Crabtree, Norman; a sister, Virginia Bishop, Lawton; two brothers and a sister-in- law: Charles Crabtree, Woodward; and Robert and Ruth Crabtree, Elgin; and three granddaughters: Madison Brooke, Kelsey Jo and Hanna Lynn.
