All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Rheba Carlson ELGIN — Funeral for Rheba Jean Carlson, 65, Elgin, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Elgin Assembly of God with the Rev. Larry Thoma, pastor, officiating. Mrs. Carlson died at her home Saturday, April 17, 2004. Entombment will be at Chapel of Serenity Mausoleum at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Lawton, under direction of Hodge Funeral Home. She was born May 2, 1938, in Cement to Austin and Jenny Florence Marsh Smith. She grew up in Cement and received her high school diploma while living in California. She had moved back to Oklahoma and was employed at Sears Department Store as a clerk. She retired after many years of service. She was a member of the Sill-O-Ette Squares of Lawton. Survivors include a daughter, Charlotte D. Carlson and her husband Dale W. Franklin, Shawnee; a son, Steven Eric Carlson and his wife, Jeannie, Burleson, Texas; two grandsons: Challen Dale Franklin, Shawnee, and Gabriel Anthony Carlson, Burleson; two sisters: Beulah Reese and Stella Chaney, both of Cement; a brother, Bobby Smith, Empire, Calif.; and her fiancé, Van Smith, Lawton. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands: James Ray Hood and Morris Edward Carlson, and a sister, Gracie Pauline Dale.
