He confessed a hope in Christ at a very young age and united with the St. John Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Lawton High and immediately after graduation he enlisted in the Army. There he served as the Communication Specialist in the 34th Signal Corp. He received the Good Conduct Medla and the National Defense Service Medal. He entered the St. Joseph Hospital, there he departed this life on December 29, 1987. Leaving to mourn his departure are: his mother, Jethell Turtine of Ft. Worth, Texas; his father, Ellester Davis of Rochester, New York; his step-father, Robert D. Cole of Lawton, Oklahoma; one brother, John A Davis III of Los Angeles, California; eight sisters, Jean Williams, Mary Dorsey, Cynthia Harris, Nancy E. Shaw, Juanita. J Cole, Aura Dee Cole, and Alisa Cole all of Ft.
